Europeans started April 1st as fools day on behalf of confusion over new year's date. Centuries past and people transformed it into varied versions. MTV India started Bakra Din in late 90's and carried on April's fools day.
To Indians it is a very important day also because it marks the starting of financial year. Banks are busy day and night auditing their entire last year's records. It marks starting of new session in schools.
If we want a day to enjoy it as a fool's day then almost everyday we have many instances. CAT was a joke which IIMs played when they made it online and questions repeated again and again, servers crashed and havoc was created just because few people felt pen and pencil test is not so cool. Mayawati played joke to democracy when she wore a garland of notes whose total worth was in few crores, she made a committee to find how bee hive was present near his lavish rally when a town in Uttar Pradesh was burning in Hindu-Muslim riots. My College usually does jokes to us on regular basis, don't wanna get started on that. That's not enough there are numerous instances which I can point out but it would be better in leaving those.

After 7 years, today India kicked off the national census of its billion-plus population with a 2.5 million strong army of census-takers fanning out across the country to conduct what has been billed the world’s largest administrative exercise. Over the next six months, census-takers, or ‘enumerators,’ will travel across more than 630,000 villages and over 5,000 cities in the country to visit every structure that serves as a home to put together a national data base.This information will be used for creation of Unique Identification Number. Every Indian will have a number; long ago saw a Abhishek Bacchan's IDEA advertisement "Ab har koi number ke naam se jana jayega".It will now be a reality very soon. From skyscrapers to tin shanties, census takers will note details such as the availability and sources of drinking water and electricity, and the type of construction material used in your house's floor and wall, how many phones are there in family and internet users and internet connections. Today saw this form in news channel and was wondering how much governmental interference is being increasing day by day. The information is quite sensitive that's why it feels sometime that Government is interfering in our lives.
If we are concerned with Government interference then sometimes it never bother to interfere also , best example is when Narendra Modi never became interested in interfering when entire Gujrat was burning in riots. Few days back finally he was questioned by the Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team and today there are signs that Nanawati Commission might question him too. The heat of fire that burnt Gujrat is now seems to showing some impact on Modi who is constantly trying to be Mahamta Gandhi via his blog.
Also today is a very important day to all Indians because Right for Education is implemented. Now children from age 6 to 14 years will get necessary education. Education will change drastically no doubt. Though still there are issues like there are schools which are producing "Bhartiya Nagrik" which start their life as clerks or constables and maximum rise to senior clerk or Head Constable. There are also schools which are producing "Indian Citizens" who join corporate sectors and become Vice Preseidents and CEOs. Right to education is nice policy but right to same type of education is also important. Don't know if common people will be able to educate their kids in Dun or Scindia School or other prestigious schools. Hindi is considered to be Rashtriya Bhasa but still it's a Raj Bhasa. Most of the important work whether it is Governmental or Corporates or Technologists , English is used ; so English education is important too if we are not ready to open sufficient job gates associated with other languages.
Well ending today's newspaper discussions, still 1st April fool is going on. So still you can think that we can have more fool days.
This is Sister's Week. So all of you wish your sisters. Also this is Girlfriend's week too . Wish them too!!!
My class tests are over and I don't know what joke I have done in it. Don't know who is playing joke with whom during exams. Well it doesn't matter as overall it's a funny world. So be happy and be funny.
